  • The 2004 - 2005 school year marks the 13th  anniversary of the national Learning for Life Program helping to implement character education across the country.
  • Learning for Life came to Florida in 1995 as a pilot program in the Duvall County School System.
  • Learning for Life in Central Florida is ending its 6th year.

In Florida, there are:

  • 14 school districts involved in the Learning for Life Program.
  • 344 public schools participating in Learning for Life.
  • 1,611 adult participants and volunteers.
  • 32 professionals dedicated to delivering the program.
  • 363 Learning for Life groups organized.
  • 154,804 total youth participating in Learning for Life.
  • 8 Learning for Life Volunteer Committees organized to incorporate community involvement into the program.
  • 100% of participating schools trained.
