Learning for Life &
Orange County Public Schools
Partners in Education

The 2002-2003 school year marks the fourth year of partnership between the Central Florida Learning for Life program and Orange County Public Schools, OCPS. This partnership became available in Orange County by way of a grant from the Department of Education. At that time OCPS was instrumental in choosing 11 schools to participate in this character education program and in helping Learning for Life to establish relationships with the staff at those schools.

Since the inception of this partnership, Learning for Life has experienced tremendous success and growth in Orange County. The program is now being taught in 30 schools throughout the county reaching more than 21,000 boys and girls. Learning for Life has found a great home in these schools and has proven to be an asset to many educators.

Additionally, Learning for Life collaborates with county and school events to help supplement current programming with complimentary guest speakers, original lesson ideas and necessary materials. Learning for Life has also helped arrange service projects to help students understand the difference they can make. It is the goal of Learning for Life to make character education a success in every school and the service team does everything in its power to ensure this happens.
